For people who claim to support a candidate that is so full of principle they sure are stooping to some pretty low tactics to get votes in the Ames straw poll today! The NYT is reporting that some Ron Paul supporters have been circulating a flier telling people to ride Romney's buses, let the Romney campaign pay their way into the straw poll, and then VOTE FOR PAUL! The Paul campaign is of course denying any control of the people circulating the flier, and I have worked on enough campaigns to know you cannot always control what your supporters do - so I believe them. But, they do not seem terrible upset by these tactics and that is what is very telling of the principled Mr. Paul and his campaign!
