Last night on Fox's Hannity & Colmes the poll analyst following Sunday's Republican debate said that based on their focus group Mike Huckabee was the big winner. He said that Huckabee's responses scored the highest ratings amongst the group. Also while none of the 29 focus group members knew of Mike Huckabee before the debate, nearly half said they would support him following the debate - that is a huge victory if it plays out over the entire Iowa electorate. This is a guy that the front runners had better keep and eye on because he is gaining momentum quickly. Also of note, Huckabee is now tied with a sinking John McCain for 3rd (4th if you add Fred Thompson) - big news for an unknown entity. I am not so sure that Huckabee can ever raise the money needed for a real run at the nomination, but can anybody say Vice-President?
